Updates on Quarterly Objectives
Run community nodes- Worked on prototype for the centralized Managed Seed Node offering
- Build a centralized service (MVP) - to prove feasibility and learn about ideal architecture
- Planned architecture for centralized version with transition plan in mind
Work closely with the tokenomics working group to develop a sustainable hosting marketplace- Collected feedback on onboarding experience, expectations, pricing, alternatives and desired feature sets
- Running a public test of managed seed nodes - invite first
Next Quarterly Objectives
After a quarter full of prototyping and exploration, the following months will be focused on feedback and iteration.
- Launch centralized service for a larger number of community members and gather further feedback
- Measure and collect performance and adoption metrics
- Development of missing components according to user feedback
- Refine centralized offering in alignment with user feedback
- Publicly release revised design of the centralized offering & transition plan
- Prepare for gradual decentralization in Q1 by developing & deploying a testnet
Timeline & budget
We are under budget. Ca 50% of the allocated tokens will be spent by the end of the year at the current conversion rate. We made the decision to slow down the hiring and not bring external help in. This decision positively affects the budget, but bears risks on the originally proposed timeline.
From all the aforementioned objectives, the launch of a decentralized testnet is the most likely to be moved to Q1.
