General Announcements & Updates
This past quarter marked the first for the product team. We’ve been executing on the original plan to build a cohesive product experience.
We’ve made significant progress on two of the most important previously identified blockers for adoption: CI and code review tooling. We’ve already shared it with a select audience for feedback and are heavy users ourselves.
Quarterly Objectives Updates
- Release the new Desktop Client and the managed offering for code hosting – Originally planned for Q2, we’ve already done a soft community launch on radworks.garden to collect early feedback without being delayed by branding efforts.
- Develop the Radworks Seed Network (RSN) as a managed offering to address user experience gaps for organizations – While initially planned for Q1, the actual launch will happen at the end of Q2 alongside the updated branding. We also took the time to better understand our audience and refine the value proposition.
- Increase user adoption – While this is a year end goal, we are tracking growth to establish a baseline. Weekly active users are up 25% since the beginning of the year, driven largely by organic growth. We have not been publicly communicating recent product developments. So there is a clear opportunity in public communication around our value proposition and use cases.
Miscellaneous:
- We’ve developed a refreshed and distinct brand identity for the product offering, keeping the Radicle branding intact to clearly separate the protocol and network from the supporting services around them.
Timeline & Budget Update
With $1.68M USDC of the initial $2.16M USDC remaining, we’ve spent 22% of the budget in the first three months. This puts us slightly under budget for the year.
Upcoming
- Write more about Radicle use cases
- Announce the paid offering
- Iterate on user feedback for Desktop
- Implement the brand update
- Publicly launch the product offering under that brand
