Hi Héctor,
Thanks for the email. I’ll be the one from radicle at the IPFS camp, and would love to meet there and chat. I’ll try to find you sooner, but will otherwise come talk to you after the IPFS Cluster workshop.
Till soon,
Julian

Hey all,
I’m Hector from IPFS Cluster. As IPFS Camp approaches, I’m writing to say that I’m very excited to see some of you there. During the camp I hope we have the chance to sit down and discuss a few things around Radicle that might be really interesting.
Within the IPFS Cluster project we have recently developed things like go-ds-crdt (https://github.com/ipfs/go-ds-crdt) and ipfs-lite (https://github.com/hsanjuan/ipfs-lite). While radicle is not written in Go and cannot make much use of these, there is a similar set of problems that we face: how to distribute updates to a bunch of peers, how to obtain a consistent global view on the state (i.e. the current tip of master) etc. so I have the feeling there are many things we can talk about.
On the other side, Cluster may also be useful to provide auto-replication for the radicle data (to a remote which would be another peer) but I’d like to know more about it before I can say how it fits in the picture.
By the way, During
the camp, Elective Course B will be an IPFS Cluster workshop in which we will present IPFS Cluster, install it and play with it with participants. This will be a good opportunity to get a first contact with Cluster.
Looking forward to see you all soon!
Hector
