Core Values/Governance Beliefs
“At the core of the open source ethos is the idea of liberty. Open source is about inverting power structures and creating access and opportunities for everyone.”
— GitHub employees’ letter to GitHub
- Community-owned and self-sustaining networks are one of the most promising futures for free and open-source software
- DAOs should prioritize transparency, accessibility, and modularity
- Natural hierarchies exist — they should be acknowledged & embraced, but balanced with community-run accountability structures
Delegate Statement
I’m Abbey, Head of Community & Governance at Radicle. I’ve been with the project for the last 2.5 years, wearing many different hats along the way. My current “prime directive” is to support the project’s transition to the DAO by setting the foundation for a DAO-funded free and open source project to flourish. Alongside of @shelb_ee, I steward Radicle governance with the Governance WG. I also sit on the committees of the Radicle Grants Program and Ecosystem Growth Fund.
Possible Conflicts of Interests
- I am a Radicle Core Team member and $RAD holder
- I am currently the largest delegate in the Radicle ecosystem, by a disporportionate amount (I’d like this to change
)
I will update this disclosure statement when there are any material changes. I will also recuse myself from participation in any cases where I feel I’m unable to make an unbiased decision.
I have read and agree to the Code of Conduct and Delegate Standards
