I’m not convinced of the benefit to the project here.

In the short term I think the needs of the project are better served by using the remaining RAD and USDC to seed liquidity in various on chain exchanges. Over the long term I suspect an airdrop or grant would be better directed to open source projects or contributers.

Let’s create a good testnet that will be useful to the project and distribute these tokens to testers.
1.no freebie
2. maximum benefit to the project.
ps
who entered the LBP will receive their own with the growth of the project, which will be supported by a high-quality technical component (testnet)

We should, at minimum, require a lockup for a such a distribution. The treasury exists to support the long-term success of Radicle, not to provide short-term rewards for speculators.

With proper governance of the treasury, I would argue that we can generate far more than the current price of RAD in long-term value for tokenholders.

Personally, I would vote against this proposal. We could immediately make use of the remaining RAD in an AMM to supply liquidity for users.

That said, if people insist that it’s better for the long-term success of Radicle to make this distribution, then they should have no trouble accepting a lockup

This is a good idea if you want a very loyal community that will remember you and be constantly active.
It can also reduce the speculativeness of the token, since most people are less inclined to sell something that gave them good emotions.
You can also consider an intermediate option with adding liquidity to the balance sheet, if the lack of liquidity interferes with the long-term goals of the radicle

100% in favour of this proposal.

I propose to divide between LBP members, as a percentage of the purchase amount, since they paid a much higher price for the RAD!

Bought RAD at 30$ for around 900, part of me agrees with this idea, but if this can really increase the value of the RAD we hold or help Radicle, the project?

Put the remained RAD back to balancer, { the old way }, might not creative for promoting Radicle.

The most expensive RAD was purchased in the 48 hours was for $29.70. The lowest price was $9.76 (afaict).

Sounds fair to me. I am not very interested in this offer, but it seems just fair to me

if those “tokens” will be given to LBP participants the price will go down for sure permanently, but for me i would hold the given “tokens”. Anyway there is 9mlns of “tokens” hanging somewhere, so price could get down without these distribution.
I have thoughts that give those undistributed RADs into more liquidity pools would be better idea. for now RADs tradable only on Uniswap. someother platforms could bring possibility of using RADs to other DEX platforms, and fees got from liquidity could be spent on core team needs dierctly without treasury

Interesting idea in case tokens will be locked for some time or able to be used only for the project development reasons.

How would doing this proposal affect the liquidity? A lot of people are concerned about that. If this proposal is done, then the tokens couldn’t be used for a liquidity pool, unless I’m missing something.

They also wouldn’t be used in liquidity if they’re put into the treasury - this proposal increases liquidity compared to that

Liquidity will be provided by token holders thanks to the incentives provided by the various AMMs

Totally support this this proposal. It’ would be fair if unsold tokens will be distributed between all the participants.

There already is a snapshot poll for another topic in conflict to this. So if if the liquidity poll goes thru, it means this one fails. The liquidity pool vote is winning with 96% at the moment:

So if you want RAD to go to LBP contributors, I think you’d have to get the current vote turned around.

Hi! Great idea. I fully support the author, ready to vote.
