[Formal Review] Start the Foundation Org

Hey @yorgos! Thanks for the questions, here are some answers:

Radicle and Drips will be independent Orgs, and are currently working on their own individual proposals to the RadicleDAO. The funding being requested by the Foundation Org on behalf of Radicle Drips can be broken down as follows:

This is the funding required to fund Radicle and Drips contributors through April 2023, or up until their Org proposals pass. If the proposals pass governance, the Orgs will receive their funds from the DAO by May 1st. The reason why the Foundation is requesting more funding is because it initially only requested 6 months (through February 2023) of budget in [Formal Review] [Phase 0] Transition to the DAO. The Foundation now needs more budget to continue funding all contributors.

Now, this line item acts as a “buffer” to relieve financial pressure as Radicle and Drips navigate the formation, scoping, and budgeting of their new Orgs. This buffer can be used to cover the costs of Radicle and Drips contributors should there be any delay in the operational launch (e.g. entity formation, contributor payouts etc…) of Radicle and Drips Orgs beyond April 2023. If there is no delay and Orgs can start paying their own contributors on May 1st, then the Foundation will return any “buffer” to the RadicleDAO Treasury or apply it towards the budget requested for future years.

Together, these two line items are the additional funding being requested by the Foundation Org to support Radicle & Drips contributors until their Orgs are finalized and formed! If their Org proposals succeed, then by May 1st these Orgs will be completely independent from the Radicle Foundation.
